Peyton Manning buys custom suit for pre-game receiver

Jordan Taylor has never caught a meaningful pass from Peyton Manning in an NFL game. As a matter of fact, he’s never even played in a game for the Denver Broncos.

Still, Taylor has settled into a roll as Manning’s “pregame receiver” and worked extensively with the quarterback as Manning was working to get back on the field this season.

His contributions to Manning have not gone unnoticed.

It’s indeed quite generous of Manning to be looking after one of his practice partners like that. By the same token, Taylor worked hard to get Manning back in shape.

“The workouts were really intense,” Taylor said, via Troy E. Renck of the Denver Post. “Peyton asked me. And it was great. I got to work with him, which was great, and I got double reps.”

Whether that work ever pays off in terms of an on-field look remains to be seen, but it’s nice to see stars rewarding players like Taylor for their efforts.
