WATCH: Cowboys’ security guard being investigated for choking Panthers fan

Erich Schlegel-USA TODAY Sports

After a disturbing Thanksgiving Day video surfaced from Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium, a Cowboys’ security guard is being investigated by the Arlington Police Department for actions against Carolina Panthers fan, John Small.

The video broke over the weekend (obtained by TMZ) which showed a guard trying to detain Small who was wearing a Panthers’ jersey and was reportedly being “disruptive.” After being put into a choke-hold headlock, several concerned nearby folks tried to loosen the grip of the guard to release Small.

Since the incident, Small has filed a police report and now the cops are looking into the choking incident, which could be considered a Class A misdemeanor assault. Small claims he did nothing wrong and is asking for anyone who might have videoed the incident to come forth.

From the looks of the video and how red Small’s face is, this looks to be quite the serious allegation against the Cowboys’ security guard who apparently took his authority a step too far.
