Sammy Watkins is looking forward to his trip to Revis Island

The upcoming Thursday Night Football matchup kicking off Week 10 features AFC East rivals Buffalo Bills at the New York Jets, which will pit Sammy Watkins against Darrelle Revis.

Watching Watkins explode against the Miami Dolphins last week, torching them for 168 yards and a touchdown, could have fans hoping for more of the same.

When asked about facing Revis on Thursday, Watkins exuded confidence.

“Most definitely. I’m pretty sure he’ll be following me around. I look forward to it,” Watkins said of Thursday night’s showdown with the Jets cornerback, per Tyler Dunne of The Buffalo News. “As a receiver who wants to be noticed as a top receiver, you definitely want to go against those type of guys.”

Week 10 marks the first time this season that Rex Ryan will face his former team of six seasons, and Revis — the cornerback he worked with from 2009-2012.

Watkins and Tyrod Taylor totaled 92.8 percent of Buffalo’s air yards last week. The Jets and Revis should have their hands full stopping these two up-and-coming stars in motion.

Over their last four games, the Jets defense has been somewhat underwhelming, allotting opposing wide receivers a lofty average of 203.75 yards per contest. In this Week 10 matchup, the Bills will be looking to even the record to 5-4 for both teams in the division.
