Odell Beckham Jr. says awesome one-handed catch ‘doesn’t matter’

Fans can rave all they want about another awesome one-handed touchdown catch New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made in Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins.

Though to OBJ, failing to secure a win was all that mattered to him after Sunday’s loss to Washington (20-14).

“It really doesn’t matter; we didn’t win,” Beckham said per northjersey.com. “(Manning) threw the ball out there and I laid out for it. I tried to catch it, and it is what it is. We lost the game. It’s not really something that is important right now.”

Beckham’s catch was truly a stunner, just like last season’s one-handed touchdown catch that also came in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

On Washington’s side however, left tackle Trent Williams thought the 21-yard catch was quite sensational.

“What can you say about that? That’s not human. What I’m thinking: ‘How did you make that?'”

Most of the world likely agrees with Williams about OBJ’s super-human capabilities at times. And, might we add that Beckham made his insane catch with his left hand which is a learned skill he has recently been training himself to do.

Perhaps down the road Beckham will be proud enough to toot his own horn. Though in order to see the wide receiver smile about his accomplishments, he is going to have to pull off “The Catch Part III” and top it off with a win next time around.
