WATCH: Tony Romo tells Tom Brady ‘See you in February’

Naturally, every NFL team has the desire to reach Super Bowl 50. However, some franchises have more of a realistic chance at suiting up next February than others.

This is why it appears just a bit off to watch Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo—arm sling and all—tell New England Patriots gunslinger Tom Brady “See you in February” after Dallas’ recent loss to Brady and the Pats.

From Inside the NFL on Showtime via Gavin Spittle of CBS Radio Dallas/Fort Worth:

Currently, the Cowboys sit at 2-3 thanks to three consecutive losses with Brandon Weeden under center. The Cowboys have a bye in Week 6 and plan to let Matt Cassel have a go at starting when the team returns the following week to face the New York Giants.

At this point, with Romo not eligible to return until Nov. 22, the dream of the Cowboys making it to Super Bowl 50 is slowly drifting from reach. In order for the Cowboys to have a shot at the playoffs, they must pile up a bunch of wins and hope that their NFC East competition loses along the way.

There’s not much doubt at this time Brady could take the field in February. However, Romo will likely only be waving to Brady from the stands.
