WATCH: Julian Edelman gets de-cleated by Buster Skrine

Julian Edelman was absolutely destroyed on Sunday catching a pass over the middle during the New England Patriots’ battle with AFC East rival New York Jets.

Edelman went over the middle and caught a ball perfectly delivered by Tom Brady, but Buster Skrine saw the route developing the entire way. He waited for Edelman to catch the ball and then while the receiver started turning upfield, the defensive back unleashed fury.

Edelman’s entire body was airborne for a few ticks, with his feet completely off the ground after the force of the blow rocked him.

He did hold onto the ball, though, which is unreal, considering the impact of the play.

Heading into halftime, the Patriots hold a tenuous 13-10 lead in a game that has been hard fought by both sides the entire way.
