A woman gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on Thursday night at Petco Park during a San Diego Padres game.
According to The San Diego Union-Tribune, the little boy, named “Levi,” was born “around the third inning.” It was the first baby to be born at the ball park, which opened in 2004.
We welcomed a baby boy to the world in Palm Court Plaza earlier this evening. First baby to be born at Petco Park! 👶

According to the report, the mother and child were transported to a local Kaiser Permanente hospital. San Diego firefighters were called into action but were ultimately not needed, as the child was delivered by Petco Park medical staff.
To celebrate the newborn, or perhaps just because they like winning, the Padres won in walk-off fashion, defeating the hated San Francisco Giants by a score of 5-4.

It seems safe to assume little Levi will be an adamant Padres fan, and he can proudly say his love for the San Diego franchise started from birth.
