Stephen Curry jokes about Steve Nash: ‘Finally we get a decent coach’

Steve Kerr

The Golden State Warriors won the 2015 NBA championship under first-year coach Steve Kerr, but Stephen Curry took a humorous jab at Kerr after the franchise added Steve Nash to the payroll.

Curry posted a picture on Instagram where he’s giving Nash, who is now joining the Warriors as a part-time player development consultant, a high-five with the caption, “Finally we get a decent coach around here.”

Finally we get a decent coach around here….?

Nash might be Golden State’s first decent coach, but Kerr, Nash and Curry have the “Steve” game on lock.

Jokes aside, the Warriors can only improve with the future Hall of Famer sharing whatever advice he sees fit to offer. Nash can help Curry become an even better passer, and Nash’s three-point range (career 42.8 percent) certainly won’t hurt a player who has the talent to become the greatest shooter in NBA history.

According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, Nash has recently worked with Jordan Clarkson, Jeremy Lin, Dante Exum, Kemba Walker and C.J. McCollum.

Now, eight-time All-Star will coach next to his former general manager as well as develop some of the league’s brightest young stars in Curry, Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes.
