NFL free agent quarterback Josh Freeman is reportedly trying his hand in the Fall Experimental Football League.

Freeman was a former first-round draft pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2009 and was released earlier in September by the Miami Dolphins.
The last time Freeman stepped onto a football field and took a snap during the regular season was in October of 2013 during his brief stint with the Minnesota Vikings. The highlight year of his NFL career came in 2012 when he passed for 4,065 yards, 27 touchdowns and 17 interceptions.
The Fall Experimental Football League (FXFL) opens for their second season in October. Freeman will be playing for the Brooklyn Bolts franchise and will earn approximately $1,000 per week — talk about a pay cut.
The first game Freeman will participate in with the FXFL takes place on October 2.
