Brandon Weeden sets new Cowboys record with 21 straight completions

All Brandon Weeden does is complete passes.

In his first start with the Cowboys following Tony Romo’s injury, Weeden opened up the game on Sunday completing nine straight passes. Combined with his 16 straight completions from Week 2, he set the franchise record with 21 straight completed passes.

It sure helps that Joseph Randle and Darren McFadden have been shredding Atlanta’s non-existent defense in this contest.

Football is always an adventure, but this one might take the cake.

Nobody could have possibly predicted Weeden would start out this hot in relief of Romo. At this point, if he continue to play well and the running game continues to dominate, then there is no reason to think the Cowboys can’t continue winning games while Romo and receiver Dez Bryant recover from their injuries.
