Torrey Smith scores cool ‘man cave’ gift from Taylor Swift

Torrey Smith

If we didn’t know San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Torrey Smith was a huge fan of pop singer Taylor Swift, we surely know that handy bit of information now.

Smith proudly posted on his Twitter account an autographed photo that Swift gave him and included a caption that read:

“Man cave material”

Swift brought her “1989 World Tour” to Levi’s Stadium last Saturday and performed when the 49ers played the Houston Texans. Prior to the concert, Smith told the San Jose Mercury News that he is a big fan of Swift. Perhaps the singer caught onto that and sent Smith the autographed photo.

Recently, he played Swift’s hit song, “Bad Blood,” in the 49ers locker room. According to the Dan Brown of the Mercury News, some of the receiver’s teammates didn’t know Swift sang that catchy tune. Smith set them straight:

“All of a sudden they were in there were nodding their heads saying, ‘I didn’t know this was Taylor Swift!’ Yeah, it is. Get with the program.”

The general consensus is that most folks, including many male fans of Swift, are envious of the autograph.
