Terrelle Pryor’s future with the Cleveland Browns is on thin ice

Terrelle Pryor’s conversion from quarterback to wide receiver isn’t going as well as planned, and his chances of making the team’s final 53-man roster are slimming by the day. The big issue right now is a lingering hamstring injury that has halted his progress.

Speaking about Pryor’s shaky future with the Browns, head coach Mike Pettine weighed in on the situation:

“That window narrows every day that he’s not out there,” Pettine said Saturday, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.”

At this point in time, the Browns could be Pryor’s last hope to play with an NFL team. The former backup quarterback has failed to impress as a passer, which has caused him to be bounced back and forth between the Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals over the last two seasons.

With the odds stacked against him in Cleveland, Pryor must heal up quickly and prove he has some value as a receiver. Otherwise, his tenure with the Browns won’t last, and his NFL career could be hanging in the balance.
