The Golden State Warriors reportedly sent two-time All-Star David Lee to the Boston Celtics for Gerald Wallace on Tuesday.
For the defending champs, it wasn’t your normal parting of the ways. Good feelings were abound as members of the Warriors said their goodbyes to the former team captain.
One of Lee’s best friends, MVP Stephen Curry, sent a pretty hilarious troll job Lee’s way shortly after the news broke:
In honor of my boy @Dlee042 taking the next step in his career, this is how we started our relationship! Love you bro http://t.co/25UqWFtSJj

Yes, that’s a much younger Curry blocking a Lee shot when the latter was a member of the New York Knicks. If you watch the entire video, Curry and Lee are seen getting into it a bit later.
And that’s where their bromance started.
Lee joined a then fledgling Warriors franchise five years ago this month. He now departs a world champion with one good friend letting him know how it started.
Good job, Steph.
