P. Diddy Avoids Felony Charges in Incident at UCLA

Music mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs has apparently avoided felony charges stemming from an incident on campus at UCLA last month. The incident occurred after Diddy viewed his son, Justin Combs, being verbally accosted by Bruins strength coach Sal Alosi during practice.

Diddy was originally charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of making a terrorist threat. He is accused of confronting Alosi in the coach’s office after the latter went after Diddy’s son—a defensive back for the school’s football team.

According to Variety, the  Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office will not file assault charges. Instead, his case has been sent to the City Attorney’s Office for potential misdemeanor charges.

Considering the music mogul was originally released on $160,000 bail, this has to be considered somewhat of a surprise. Though, it’s likely the UCLA football program and Alosi didn’t want to pursue charges any further.
