Andre Iguodala Catches Everyone Off Guard, Trolls the Masses on Twitter

Golden State Warriors forward and 2015 NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala hasn’t lost his sense of humor in the whirlwind that has been his life over the past month.

Those not close to the situation in Oakland probably took Iggy’s tweet about wanting to be traded on Thursday night in a serious manner:

The veteran had started all 758 games in which he appeared during his first 10 seasons in the NBA. Despite this, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr asked him to take a backseat to youngster Harrison Barnes this past season. Accordingly, Iguodala  did not accumulate a single start all year until Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

The rest is history.

In what has been an ongoing joke between Iguodala and Kerr, the former decided to take his “beef” to the Twitter world.

Not wasting any time to make sure people knew he was joking, the 31-year-old forward sent out some other tweets immediately after “demanding a trade.”

There is some actual news to be had here. The tweet Iguodala was initially responding to included an article indicating that Kerr didn’t see the veteran starting for the team next season.

For Iguodala, this doesn’t seem to actually be a major issue:

Though, he did scare some Warriors fans in the process.

Part of me wonders how many writers actually started an article on Iggy demanding a trade.
