Terrell Owens on Return to NFL “I’m Ready to Go Right Now”

Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens, 41, recently appeared on The Rich Eisen Show looking in fabulous shape and claiming that he could still play in the NFL given the opportunity:

“I’m ready to go right now,” Owens said. “I’m not gonna say it’s full game, but I could give you at least 75 percent of the game. I haven’t officially retired. Given the right opportunity, I know I could still play.”

Owens played for five teams during what was a Hall-of-Fame worthy 15-year career that saw him finish among the all-time leaders in receptions (1,078), yards (15,934) and receiving touchdowns (153). However, he last appeared in the NFL as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010, recording 983 yards and nine touchdowns.

Speaking specifically about his age, Owens concluded:

“I know I’m one of those guys that could really defy the odds. I’m not your average 41-year-old.”

Owens looks to be in amazing shape. And from previous reports claiming that he is flat broke, the receiver could really use a job. Should any team have the need for a guy who can play 75 percent of the game, Owens could probably be signed on the cheap.

Not that any team needs a 41-year-old receiver on its roster.
