Kenny Britt on Nick Foles: “He Can Throw Every Pass in the Book”

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Kenny Britt had a breakout performance in his first season with the team last year, tallying 48 receptions for 748 yards with the likes of Austin Davis and Shaun Hill tossing him the rock.

Needless to say, Britt and the rest of the Rams wide receiver group are pretty excited about the acquisition of new starting quarterback Nick Foles.

“We love him,” wide receiver Kenny Britt said Thursday, via the Associated Press. “Great deep ball, he puts it on the money every time. He can throw every pass in the book.”

St. Louis acquired Foles from the Philadelphia Eagles for Sam Bradford, who had played in only seven games for the Rams over the past two seasons. Foles, a third-round pick of the Eagles back in 2012, jumped on to the scene as a second-year player in 2013, throwing 27 touchdowns compared to two interceptions. However, he struggled big time in 2014 before succumbing to a season-ending injury. A change of scenery has to be a welcomed sight for the young quarterback.

In terms of what we can expect from Foles in 2015, head coach Jeff Fisher had some words of encouragement:

“He’s got his hands full because we’ve got great defensive team speed and they’re doing a lot of things over there right now,” Fisher said. “We’ve just really been pleased.”

Unlike the past few seasons, St. Louis enters 2015 with a clear starter under center. And while Foles will have his issues against tough NFC West defenses, this is a positive sign for the Rams.

It’s now up to Britt and the rest of the Rams wide receiver group to help Foles make the transition to a more difficult division. If that happens, St. Louis could surprise a few people in 2015.
