The New Orleans Saints and defensive end Cameron Jordan have agreed to a five-year contract, per Fox Sports NFL Insider Mike Garafolo.

Garafolo notes that the deal offers $33.8 million of guaranteed money, nearly $27 million of which is due over the next two seasons.

Following a 12.5-sack performance in a Pro Bowl-honored 2013 campaign, Jordan tallied 7.5 last season. The 6’4″, 287-pound end has registered 196 total tackles—including 29 sacks—since entering the league.

Jordan, a first-round draft pick in 2011, has appeared in all 64 regular-season games, starting 63 of them.

New York Jets defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson, who has earned a similar payday but not yet inked a new deal, took notice of the hefty contract.

Whether or not it’s from the Jets, Wilkerson will receive his well-deserved raise. But on Tuesday, Jordan locked up his future—a big-money one—in the Big Easy.
