Titans Wide Receivers Didn’t Seem Too Thrilled by Team’s Selection of Marcus Mariota

As the 2015 NFL draft approached, it became pretty obvious that the Tennessee Titans were going to stand pat and select reigning Heisman winner Marcus Mariota with the second overall pick.

Despite rumors and speculation of the team trading down as well as the presence of Zach Mettenberger on the roster, the Titans held true to their big board.

This caused mixed reactions. Some, myself included, asked if Mariota was actually that much better than Mettenberger.

By the reaction of Titans wide receivers Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter, it seems that they fall into the category of those questioning the selection of the Oregon product.

As you can see, Hunter simply took a seat after the pick was announced. Meanwhile, Wright is shown shaking his head.

In the days following the draft, reports have surfaced that Mettenberger views himself as the Titans starter.

Despite this, the Titans have made it clear that they plan to start Mariota from Day 1. If that’s the case, he has to start earning the trust and creating a relationship with two of the team’s top receivers.

Sadly, we don’t have the reaction of Wright and Hunter when Tennessee picked up wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham in the second round.
