Report: Sam Bradford Not Participating in Eagles OTAs

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford was limited earlier this month and has not been participating in the team’s OTAs thus far. At this time, Mark Sanchez has been taking the first-team reps with the Eagles’ offense.

It has only been nine months since Bradford’s ACL surgery—a second surgery of that kind in two years. Bradford’s rickety health has been quite the point of controversy ever since the Eagles gave up quarterback Nick Foles and a second-round draft pick to obtain the embattled quarterback.

Bradford was able to throw some passes during the team’s individual drills earlier this month, but he did not practice the week after. It is unknown whether Bradford experienced a setback or was just resting as part of his rehabilitation process. It is also being reported that the Eagles declined earlier requests to interview Bradford, who is expected to speak to the media on Thursday.

The Eagles OTAs will last through June 11 followed by a three-day minicamp later that month. After that, the Eagles will break for training camp in August.

If Bradford isn’t at full speed come the start of August, then it might be time for Kelly to be more concerned.
