2014-2015 ALL-NBA Teams Announced

In what shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, the accolades continue to roll in for Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry.

The 2014-2015 All-NBA Teams were announced on Thursday. Curry tied LeBron James with 645 total votes, putting both on the first team. They were joined by Anthony Davis, Marc Gasol and James Harden.

Interestingly, Gasol beat out his brother for the First-Team honors. Pau Gasol joined Russell Westbrook, LaMarcus Aldridge, DeMarcus Cousins and Chris Paul on the second team.

Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Tim Duncan, Klay Thompson and Kyrie Irving earned third team honors.

A few interesting observations here.

Of the 15 players that earned All-NBA honors, five remain in the playoffs as the conference finals move forward.

Of the 15 players selected, 12 play in the Western Conference. There’s definitely a balance of power issues here.

Tim Duncan tied Kobe Bryant and  Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most All-NBA selections with 15.

It’s the ninth time LeBron James has earned All-NBA First Team honors.
