NBA Playoffs: Wizards Beat Raptors, Complete Four-Game Sweep

For a team that won 49 games during the regular season, the Toronto Raptors were nowhere to be found during their humiliating four-game series against the Washington Wizards.

Washington defeated Toronto by 31 points on Sunday evening, completing a ridiculous four-game sweep that saw John Wall and company outscore the over-matched Raptors by a total of 56 points.

Sunday’s game was by far the most lopsided of the four. Washington held a 14-point lead after the first quarter, and never looked back. Led by 23 points and four steals from Bradley Beal, the Wizards were in complete domination mode at home against a struggling Raptors squad. John Wall added 14 points and 10 assists, as six different Wizards players scored double-digit points.

Wall averaged 16.3 points and 12.5 assists per game in the series. His ability to get others involved is a good sign for a Wizards’ squad that will take on either the Brooklyn Nets or Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

As it relates to the Raptors, they just couldn’t do anything right in this series. NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year, Lou Williams, may have averaged 13.5 points per game. However, he shot just 31.3 percent from the field. It was his lack of shooting from the second unit that hurt the Raptors the most.
