The Cleveland Cavaliers may very well sweep the Boston Celtics, but it’s uncertain whether the team will be at full strength when they start their second-round series against an unnamed opponent.
Just minutes after Kendrick Perkins was given a flagrant 1 for this horribly dirty play against Celtics forward Jae Crowder, yet another ugly play happened in the third quarter of Game 4 on Sunday afternoon.
J.R. Smith was ejected for throwing a blow at, you guessed it, Jae Crowder. Unfortunately for the Celtics, Crowder was unable to remain in the game.
With Kevin Love sidelined due to a shoulder injury and Perkins potentially facing a suspension, the last thing Cleveland needed was another play that will require league review.
The good news for Cleveland is that it has a comfortable second-half lead en route to what will be a likely sweep of the Celtics.
