Buffalo Bills Seem Optimistic After First Offseason Workout

Rex Ryan

The Buffalo Bills are all fired up after their first day of voluntary offseason workouts. Therefore, we are already hearing some bold predictions from the team.

First of all, we are hearing new head coach Rex Ryan’s optimism after observing his team hit the field for the first time.

This is fair enough. All teams start off on even ground once offseason practices begin. Right now rival Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots do not have anything over those Bills in Ryan’s mind.

Picking up on Ryan’s optimism, new Bills wide receiver Percy Harvin seems to be ready to tear it up this upcoming season.

Harvin has not completed a full season since 2011 when he posted 967 yards and six with the Minnesota Vikings. Considering that was Harvin’s best season, he’s 100 percent correct about never really exploding on to the scene. .

However, Harvin’s bold prediction is a bit much to buy into considering the Bills still do not have a starter-caliber quarterback in command. This, of course leads us to another Bill who seems to be seeing all sunshine right now.

Does anyone even remember Manuel’s slate? A first-round pick of the Bills in 2013, Manuel has played in a total of 15 games in two seasons. He was benched in lieu of Kyle Orton earlier this past season.

It’s this type of optimism every team can have at this point in the offseason. It’s also optimism that could very well come crashing down once the Bills actually take the field in training camp and during the season.

But hey, all teams are 0-0 right now. If nothing else, Ryan’s optimism could be bringing a new atmosphere to Western New York.
