NFL to Discuss Changes to Extra Point in May

The NFL may be against furthering the parameters for instant replay, but it sure is prepared to make changes to the extra point.

While this wasn’t discussed at the league meeting this week, indications are that owners will vote on how to update the point after situation.

Anything from moving the two-point conversion to the one-yard line in order to make it more common to pushing the PAT attempt back to the 15-yard line seems to be in the cards right now.

However, there are whispers that there could be more dramatic changes.

As Pro Football Talk’s Michael David Smith points out, there seems to be a general consensus among owners that changes need to be made. This doesn’t mean that the owners agree on exactly what those changes need to be. This could lead to something extremely minimal this offseason before drastic changes moving forward.
