Chicago Bulls Point Guard Derrick Rose Participates in Full Contact Practice

Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose is getting closer to making his return. Coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters Rose went through a full contact practice today.

Rose underwent knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus on February 27th, and hasn’t played since February 23rd. In 46 games this season, Rose is averaging 18.4 points and five assists per game. Thibodeau did not say when his star guard would return to game action.

The Bulls are on course to face the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. While the Bucks have struggled since the All-Star break, the Bulls will probably look to get Rose some game action before the playoffs to smooth his transition back into the lineup. They have eight games remaining on their schedule, and currently hold the third seed in the East.
