C.J. Spiller Drawing Interest from Multiple Teams

Former Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller ultimately found out his fate in Buffalo during live TV when he was a guest on Around the NFL last week.

That was when the surprise of the year trade between Buffalo and Philadelphia went down that sent running back LeSean McCoy to the Bills. Now Spiller, who reportedly turned down an offer from Buffalo that would have paid him $4.5 million per year, joins free agency this Tuesday.

Reportedly, Spiller may not be out there long. He is already drawing interest from the San Francisco 49ers, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins and the Arizona Cardinals, according to Josina Anderson of ESPN.

The 27-year-old running back poses as a happy medium ranging between veterans like Reggie Bush and the high-caliber, top dollar guys like Marshawn Lynch.

During the course of Spiller’s five-year NFL career, he has maintained an average of 5.0 yards per carry. It is the inconsistent play where Spiller falls short. Though, the interest he is drawing is not surprising, considering all of the recent action involving some of the impending free agent running backs either being re-signed back to their own teams or to new ones.
