Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant isn’t about that action, boss.
In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday evening, the future Hall of Famer responded to the host showing a video of his teammates celebrating after breaking an eight-game losing streak Sunday night against the Boston Celtics.
And it was grand…
That reaction was priceless. Without even saying a word, Kobe’s death stare told us everything we needed to know about his feeling regarding that ridiculous post-game celebration.
Kimmel went on to change the subject quickly, bringing up the Oscar nominated movie Whiplash starring J.K. Simmons, who won best supporting actor for his role.
Kobe went on to indicate that he relates with Simmons’ character. One has to wonder if he would have picked up a chair and threw it at Nick Young if he were there during that interview.
Say what you want about Kobe, but it’s his competitiveness that helped the Lakers win five NBA championships. It’s also this competitiveness that drives him year after year.
Maybe the rest of the Lakers should take a page out of Kobe’s book.
