Rex Ryan Wants Toughness on the Field and Gentlemen off the Field

It has been Rex Ryan’s motto since being hired by the Buffalo Bills that he wants to “build a bully” on the field with his new team.

The recent signing of guard Richie Incognito—most famously known for the 2013 Miami Dolphins’ bullying scandal—has caused Ryan to clarify his words regarding the use of “bully.” In speaking with WGR-AM, Ryan shared this

I’m about the biggest anti-bullying guy there is, especially off the field and in the community.

Regarding Incognito, Ryan said…

He recognizes that he has made some mistakes. He wants to prove that he is not that person now.

If Incognito is on the straight and narrow as he claims, then Ryan did do well by signing the physical guard.

In deciding that he wanted a team that would be tough as nails, Ryan continued…

I want the toughest, physical football team on the field, and gentlemen off the field.

Now that this is settled, it’s time for Ryan and company to work on that quarterback situation.
