Reports: Bills Interested in Sam Bradford Trade

Are we really at the point where teams are going to start getting into a bidding war for St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford?

A week after it was reported that the Cleveland Browns were interested in trading for the injury-plagued former first-round pick, comes this piece of information from Yahoo Sports. The report goes on to indicate that the Buffalo Bills have an interest in trading for Bradford, who missed the entire 2014 season after suffering a second torn ACL in as many years.

Set to count $16.58 million against the cap in 2015, there have been rumors that the Rams would release Bradford outright. Though, the team did recently indicate that it plans on heading into the 2015 season with Bradford as the starting quarterback. That information came out following a separate report that St. Louis had given Bradford permission to seek a trade.

With all these conflicting reports, one thing is clear: The market for Bradford will be much better than most of us anticipated just a couple months ago. The veteran put up 3,702 yards with 21 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in his last full NFL season back in 2012.

As it relates to the Bills, they only have six selections in the upcoming NFL draft, and are without a first-round pick after sending it to the Cleveland Browns in the Sammy Watkins trade last year. If a bidding war were to ensue for Bradford’s services it will be interesting to see just how much the Rams could get for him. Considering the lack of talent on the free-agent market, they might actually steal a decent pick from a team in desperate need of a quarterback.
