Report: Baron Davis in Talks to Join a Contending Team

We are actually writing an article about Baron Davis and it doesn’t include him being kidnapped by aliens.

The year is 2015, and the former lottery pick is apparently ready to make a comeback in the NBA.

This is real life stuff right here.

Davis indicated to TMZ Sports that he is in communication with “multiple playoff contenders” regarding a return to the Association. The site also reported that the teams Davis is potentially speaking with include the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Clippers.

Davis, 35, last appeared in an NBA game for the New York Knicks during the 2011-2012 campaign. He previously suited up for the Charlotte/New Orleans Hornets, Golden State Warriors, Clippers and Cavaliers during what was a stellar 13-year career.

Unless Davis has somehow found a way to reverse the aging process, it’s highly unlikely that he can help a team down the stretch. Then again, those aliens who abducted him might have very well helped him do just that.

If Davis were to sign with a contender, common logic seems to suggest it would be with one of the teams that he has played for in the past.
