Miami Heat big man Hassan Whiteside has been one of the biggest surprises of the NBA season. After thinning out their bench and losing LeBron James in the offseason, Miami has been helped a great deal by this former second-round pick of the Sacramento Kings.
He entered Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bulls averaging 7.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and two blocks in about 15 minutes per game this season.
But what Whiteside has done against Chicago on Sunday is nothing short of amazing.
Through three quarters, the 7’0″ center had already tallied a triple-double with 14 points, 13 rebounds and an astonishing 12 blocks, five of which came in a seven-minute sequence…
That’s just a brilliant display of basketball right there.
