Richard Sherman Injures Elbow, Says He’ll Play in the Super Bowl

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman was in obvious pain throughout the second half of the team’s win over the Green Bay Packers after suffering a shoulder injury.

On a play where Kam Chancellor was attempting to stop a James Starks, Sherman’s left elbow seemed to get in the way as he took a smack from Chancellor. Favoring the elbow as if he were wearing a clear arm sling the rest of the way, Sherman definitely looked to be in plenty of pain.

NFL Media’s Steve Wyche has reported good news. Sherman’s X-rays have come back negative. Additionally, Sherman told Wyche that he wiil most certainly be on the field in two weeks for his second Super Bowl appearance.
