Report: Aaron Rodgers Has Torn Calf

In an injury that could severely limit Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the team’s playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys this upcoming Sunday, ESPN insider Adam Schefter is reporting that the MVP candidate has a slightly torn calf.

This injury was aggravated Week 17 against the Detroit Lions in a game that gave Green Bay a first-round by and the NFC North championship. He originally suffered the injury Week 16 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

One doctor told ESPN that there is no question Rodgers will play, but the larger question at hand is whether he will be 95 percent or 50 percent.

Rodgers did not practice on Wednesday, which is an indication that the injury is more serious than the team wanted to let on. As a mobile quarterback who does a tremendous job avoiding pressure, this could be a major storyline to check out as the NFC Divisional Playoff game approaches.
