Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson was arrested early Friday morning on suspicion of a DUI following a team community event in Denver.
According to a local NBC affiliate in Colorado, Lawson was stopped after going 60 mph in a 35 mph zone a little before 1:30 in the morning. Lawson then admitted to the arresting officer that he had consumed alcohol before driving. After failing a field sobriety test and showing signs of being under the influence (slurred speech etc…) Lawson was booked.

Just a few hours prior to his arrest, Lawson took a photo of him attending the Nuggets event and posted it on Facebook.
Lawson has previous off-court issues. He has a previous DUI in Missouri. He was also charged with domestic violence on his girlfriend back in 2013. The case was later dismissed.
