Michael Bennett’s Police Bike Being Auctioned off for Charity

The police bike that Seattle Seahawks’ defensive end Michael Bennett rode on right after the Seahawks beat the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game will be auctioned off.

Following the win, Bennett borrowed a bicycle from a Seattle Police Department cop who was doing security on the field. Bennett happily took a victory lap around the turf and called it the “best bike ride” that he’s ever had.

Speaking on his impromptu bike ride, Bennett shared these comments in the locker room after the game.

I took it from the cop and just rode it around the stadium. I bike all the time. I’m a real biker. I’ve got three bikes at my house, so I was just having fun. Actually, they donated the bike to my foundation, so we’re going to auction it off at my charity event in May.

Bennett’s charity is OCEAN, which focuses on fighting obesity through education, activity, community and nutrition. What a perfect item to auction off considering the nature of Bennett’s charity.
