Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was prepared to wear some nifty 24K cleats for the NFC Championship game on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
Unfortunately for Lynch, it appears that the NFL wasn’t having any of this. Fox Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer reported prior to the kickoff of Sunday’s game that the league threatened to eject Lynch from the matchup with Green Bay if Lynch took to the field in these cleats. It goes without saying that Lynch has given up on the idea after said threats.
Doesn’t the NFL have some bigger fish to fry than worrying about the cleats players wear on the field? If Lynch actually spoke to the media, it would be interesting to hear his response.
