Earl Thomas Believes Dez Bryant’s Catch Was Good

Leave it to the media to sneak in the question about Dallas Cowboys’ wide receiver Dez Bryant’s overturned catch during the Cowboys’ loss to the Green Bay Packers in the divisional playoffs.

While it wasn’t the prime subject of Tuesday’s Super Bowl Media Day, a reporter did ask Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas whether it was a catch. The All-Pro safety responded by indicating that he will “ride with Dez” and “yes” it was a catch.

A sticky subject that likely won’t go away anytime soon, Green Bay Packers cornerback Sam Shields, who was covering Bryant during the play, even agreed it was a catch.

Wondering about the connection between Thomas and Bryant? Both Thomas and Bryant are sponsors of the Michael Jordan brand line, and have been since October of 2013.

There’s nothing that can be done to change the way the Dallas/Green Bay game ended. However if enough people keep supporting the catch, it’s possible that the current NFL rules could change.
