Sixers, Timberwolves Game Restarted After Officiating Error

So this happened.

With the Minnesota Timberwolves hosting the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night, we can go out on a limb and indicate that the NBA world isn’t holding its collective breath over the outcome of this stinker.

Apparently the officials weren’t paying close attention as the game tipped off.

Yes. You saw that right. The game was restarted after the officials realized that the two teams were going the wrong way about 16 seconds into the game.

How this happens? Well, that’s pretty much anyone’s guess. It is quite possible that neither of the two teams or any of those individuals officiating the action really cared to start the game.

In search for their first win of the season, The Sixers (0-17) are leading Minnesota with less than six minutes remaining in the game.

Does anyone else want to know if this has happened before?
