Report: Jabari Parker to Miss Remainder of the Season with Torn ACL

This is a huge blow for a surprising Milwaukee Bucks team. Rookie first-round pick and likely future All-Star Jabari Parker is reportedly set to miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL he suffered against the Phoenix Suns on Monday night.

ESPN’s Marc Stein was the first to report the unfortunate news.

The No. 2 overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft apparently informed teammates of the bad news on Tuesday evening. The Duke product finishes his rookie campaign averaging 12.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.

Milwaukee is 13-12 on the season and in firm contention for one of the final playoff spots in a weak Eastern Conference. This injury, no matter how it’s going to hurt long-term as it relates to Parker’s progression, surely does hurt in the short term.
