Who said that professional athletes were closer to Grinch than Santa?
Washington Nationals starting pitcher Doug Fister took to Twitter on Christmas Eve to give his followers and fans a nice little gift.

What an awesome way for Fister to show appreciation to those who have supported him throughout the year.
The veteran starter did then have to take to Twitter once again to clarify things, likely because he received some negative feedback from some who didn’t end up with free Starbucks.
Sorry for the misunderstanding. The gift card was meant as a first come, first serve until the amount ran out, just a little holiday gift.

It remains to be seen how much Fister loaded on to his Starbucks card, but this was more than generous.
