If you need any more evidence of what football players go through for the game they love, no need to look any further than Tennessee Titans wide receiver Justin Hunter.
The second-year pro was injured on the team’s first offensive snap of the game against the Houston Texans on Sunday after taking a pretty big hit to the stomach area.

Hunter would return to action shortly after this injury happened, only to leave later. The former second-round pick was then sent to the hospital where he was diagnosed with a lacerated spleen and will spend the night for observation.
Outside of the simple fact that Hunter probably shouldn’t have gone back in, this tells us a story of what players risk by taking the field on Sundays.
