Report: Blake Griffin Charged with Battery After Nightclub Incident

Star Los Angeles Clippers big man Blake Griffin has reportedly been charged by the Clark County, Nevada, District Attorney’s office for slapping a fellow clubgoer at a Las Vegas nightclub back in October (via TMZ.com).

Griffin was charged with one account of misdemeanor battery for hitting the alleged victim, Daniel Schuman. Griffin allegedly grabbed Schuman by the neck and demanded that he give up his phone. The incident occurred after Griffin was apparently upset with all the cell phone cameras flashing in his face.

The alleged incident took place on October 19th, a night in which Griffin was scene with teammates DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul. Neither of those two players were involved in the altercation.

Griffin faces six months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine. But as TMZ points out, he is unlikely going to serve any jail time.
