Jerry Jones Once Cried Over Losing to the Giants

This is a true story. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones admitted to 105.3 The Fan in Dallas this week that he has had three incidents in his life in which he has cried (h/t CBS Sports).

The latest incident came back in 2007 when Dallas lost to the New York Giants in the 2007 playoffs. The Cowboys came into that postseason with a 13-3 record and home-field advantage only to lose to the eventual Super Bowl champions 9-7.

Still to this day, don’t bring that up to Mr. Jones.

Oh my goodness, I resent to this day the Giants coming in here a few years back and beating us with home field advantage and then winning the Super Bowl,” Jones told 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Tuesday. “I admire it, but I resent it. I will always remember it. So it doesn’t take me much to get riled up over going to New York.

The other two instances in which Jones has cried in his life both were a result of football. The loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the 1994 NFC Championship game and when Dallas lost the Houston Texans initial football game back in 2002.

A grown man crying over football. Don’t tell me you haven’t been there before.
