Jamaal Charles Unstoppable Against Seattle Seahawks’ Defense

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles melted through the Seattle Seahawks’ defense like a hot knife through warm butter in Sunday’s 24-20 win.

First, there is this 20-yard touchdown run where not a single Seahawk in sight could stop Charles.

Next, Charles catches this short pass to rush in for yet another score against the Seahawks.

Over the course of the game, Charles torched the Seahawks for 159 rushing yards on 20 attempts, 19 receiving yards and two touchdown scores. So far this season, the Seahawks have only allowed six rushing scores, however, it was not surprising at all to see the team challenged when it came to putting the brakes an elite back like Charles. This was only magnified by the fact that Seattle played without defensive tackle Brandon Mebane, who is out for the remainder of the season.

Charles should have no problem lighting it up again this week against a porous Oakland defense who have allowed an average of 112 rushing yards per game to the position this season.

Meanwhile, the third-place Seahawks need to get the ship righted ASAP in order to remain viable in the NFC Playoff race. Allowing nearly seven yards per rush attempt will not do that.
