Bills Receiver Chris Hogan Walked Through Five-Feet of Snow to Catch Team Flight

Worried that he was going to miss the team’s flight to Detroit, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Chris Hogan walked through five feet of snow on Friday in order to get to Ralph Wilson Stadium on Friday.

As you likely already know, Buffalo was hit by the worst snowstorm in the history of the city over the past few days. This forced the NFL to move the Bills game against the New York Jets to Detroit.

With a travel ban in place in Buffalo, many Bills players were snowed in. The team didn’t practice during the week, and officials from the Bills actually picked players up on snowmobiles to get them on the plane to Detroit.

Unfortunately for Hogan, he didn’t have that option (via Yahoo Sports).

My neighborhood was completely snowed in. There were no cars getting in or out. The only way to get to the stadium was to walk the roads,” Hogan said. “There were some tracks from four-wheelers and snowmobiles that I had to follow. So I went through that.

Powered by a greek yogurt, Hogan trecked 25 minues in five-feet worth of snow to a stadium that was normally a two-minute drive from his house. He did so without any real snow gear, instead relying on basic sneakers to get the job done.

Buffalo “hosts” the Jets in Detroit on Monday evening. And for his part, Hogan is having the best season of his career with 25 catches for over 300 yards. For someone who has had to deal with a ton of adversity to get on the field in the NFL (mainly being practice squad fodder), it’s no wonder Hogan did whatever he could do in order to get to Detroit for the game.
