Byron Scott Throws Some Serious Shade Dwight Howard’s Way

It’s not a secret that Dwight Howard’s tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers didn’t end with roses and a kiss goodbye. And while new Lakers head coach Byron Scott wasn’t privy to what was happening with Kobe Bryant and Howard in Southern California, this didn’t stop him from chiming in (via Los Angeles Daily News).

My outside perspective is Kobe is a real serious guy and wants to win championships,” Scott said. “I don’t know if Dwight is that serious about it. I know No. 24 is and that probably was the clash.

The Lakers will host Dwight Howard and the Houston Rockets on the season opener for both teams on Tuesday night. It remains to be seen what type of friendly interactions we will see before the game. Maybe Kobe can show D12 the numerous NBA championship bling he has, and the Rockets’ big man can laugh it off. Maybe both will just do their talking on the court.

Either way, Scott didn’t necessarily do much to quiet the ongoing drama between Kobe and Dwight.
