St. Louis Rams Acquire QB Case Keenum

According to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, quarterback Case Keenum, who was just dropped by the Houston Texans, has been claimed off the waivers by the St. Louis Rams,

Keenum didn’t sit long on the waiver wire, as the Rams made a quick swoop to acquire him after losing their starter Sam Bradford to a season-ending ACL injury during the preseason.

At just 26-years-old, Keenum went without a win in his eight starts for the Texans last season. He finished with nine touchdowns and six interceptions, totaling a 54 percent completion rate. With that said, it appears the Rams are planning on having Shaun Hill start, at least for the time being. With either Hill or Keenum at some point starting for the Rams, expect a high dose of the run game to be incorporated into St. Louis’ plans.
