Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles to Start Next Week

After taking over for an ineffective Chad Henne in the third quarter of Sunday’s 44-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, rookie quarterback Blake Bortles is slated to start for the Jacksonville Jaguars next week.

Bortles led the Jaguars to three scoring drives in the second half after taking over with the team down 30-0 to start the third quarter. The rookie first-round pick completed 14-of-24 passes for 233 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in his first regular season NFL action.

Henne, who has struggled all season, was just 4-of-7 passing in the first half before being benched.

Gus Bradley and Co. have to do something to get going. After taking a 17-0 lead into the half against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1, Jacksonville has been outscored 119-27 in its last 10 quarters of action.
