Seahawks RB’ Marshawn Lynch Expected to Hold Out of Camp

Former Seattle Seahawks running back Michael Robinson indicated this afternoon that Marshawn Lynch is expected to hold out of training camp.

There had been reports earlier this offseason that Lynch wasn’t happy with his contract and wanted to discuss a potential extension with the Seahawks. It now appears that he’s willing to hold out of camp until a new contract is agreed to.

Lynch, who racked up 1,257 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns for the defending Super Bowl champs last year, is set to make $5.5 million this upcoming season. He is signed through the 2015 campaign.

At 28 years old, it’s unknown whether Seattle would agree to a long-term extension with the enigmatic running back at this point.
